Holistic Remedies for
Urinary Tract Infections in Dogs

UTI - What Is it?

Urinary problems in dogs are the results of an imbalance in the pH in the urine. This gives opportunistic bacteria a chance to come in and cause an infection. Each time your dog gets re-infected, some scar tissue develops, making it even more difficult when he gets another infection. You can prevent this.

Diet is important. Be sure that your dog is eating a diet that maintains the proper pH balance to begin with. If you do suspect your dog has a urinary tract infection, you should take him to your vet to have a culture done on the urine. This will tell you which antibiotics will help treat the infection. Remember, whenever you use antibiotics, you must use a good probiotic. Antibiotics destroy not only the bad bacteria, but the good as well. You must replace the good bacteria, and keep the pH in proper balance.

UTI - Causes

Lack of water - Dogs who do not get enough water can be prone to bladder infections

Hormone Changes - Hormones can make a situation where the body's pH balance changes and then gives the bad bacteria a chance to flourish.

Diet - Diet plays an important role in a UTI. Dog foods that are carbohydrate- or grain-based, or have to high a ratio of grain to meat-meal, can cause a change in the pH balance of the bladder. Be sure to use a meat- and/or poultry-based dog food, if using a kibble. Poor quality protein sources in food can disrupt the pH balance of the urinary system.

Only sequestered or chelated (or combined) minerals should be used in your dog food. Check the package to confirm that no oxides are used for minerals.

UTI - What Can I do?

Offer your dog plenty of clean, fresh water at all times. Water helps to flush out the bacteria that causes a urinary tract infection. Walk your dog frequently so that the urine does not remain in the bladder for long periods of time.

Herbal and homeopathic remedies can also be used to prevent these infections, or to treat chronic urinary tract infections, such as those often seen in older dogs.

Start putting these solutions to work to protect your dog’s health.

Natural remedies can play an important role in decreasing common symptoms and promoting quicker recovery in a gentle, safe manner. There are many remedies that can quickly help to relieve common symptoms of a urinary tract infection. Others promote kidney functioning, and encourage excretion of waste products.

A weak immune system enhances the risk of infection. Older dogs with compromised immunity need extra care to avoid any serious medical emergency. Puppies fall under the same category due to an underdeveloped immune system. Your primary attention should be to build immunity so that the risk of infection is minimized. This will also help your dog to ward of many other diseases, as well.

Protective Care & Remedy Relief for Dogs

Natural remedies can have an important role to play in helping to prevent illness as well as in promoting a faster recovery in a gentle, safe manner. Remember that canine colds are rarely as simple as they seem to be. Your timely attention will go a long way in making life comfortable for your dog and avoiding the progression of a mild condition into a life-threatening one.

Our cat Louie came down with a UTI about 4 months ago and we took him to the vet . . . it ended up costing us over $900. So, when I noticed him having the same symptoms, I broke down. I refused to let him go, but I knew we couldn't afford the HUGE vet bill again. I found this site and asked my husband to order the UTI-Free. We received it and gave it to him right away. I am happy and very thankful to say that he is with us today and as normal as ever. Now we give it to Lestat, our other cat, as well.

I am very happy to report that the UTI-Free cleared the infection within days and it has not returned. I will keep it handy for when we need it again.

This is in regard to your UTI-Free, what a wonderful product that absolutely works well and quickly! My 3-year-old cat is prone to UTI infections, and vet fees are awful. I mixed the stuff up with a tiny amount of cranberry juice, took a syringe without the needle and shot it in her mouth. It was not such a chore and I think she actually enjoyed it. Boo and I thank you so very much. So glad I found you guys, and I'm next to try your thyroid remedy.
