FleaDerm comes in a topical cream form and is easily applied directly onto the affected areas.

You will find a white sticker under the bottle with the expiry date on it. It is best stored in a cool dark place out of direct sunlight.

Improvement should be noted within a few days. With regular use over several weeks, the dermatitis should clear completely and recurrence will also be prevented, provided that exposure to fleas is.

If you have seen a flea on your pet or any other pets in your house, you can be pretty sure that your pet has fleas. If he/she suffers from severe itching and discomfort as described above, your pet probably has flea bite dermatitis too.

In many cases you will not see the sneaky fleas themselves but there are other clues which you can look out for. Comb through your pet’s coat and drop any black specks that you find onto a wet paper towel. If they turn red on contact with the towel, they are flea feces.

If your pet has symptoms of dermatitis that are worse in summer and fall, flea bite dermatitis is a strong possibility but, as you may not be sure especially if you have not seen any fleas or flea feces, the only way to know for sure is to have your pet seen by a vet.
